After 22 years in sales leadership at Johnson & Johnson, building a reputation for driving results, mentoring teams, and creating customer-first strategies, Bill Overholt was ready for a new chapter.
Wanting to give back to the greater Clifton Park community he has called home for over two decades, Bill began volunteering at a local animal shelter. He was struck by a heartbreaking reality - countless dogs were missing out on adoption simply because they lacked basic obedience training. Determined to make a difference, Bill found his calling.
Bill partnered with ZOOM ROOM, a relatively unknown dog training franchise founded in 2007 and headquartered in Los Angeles, CA. With over 50 locations across the United States and only one in New York State (Chelsea/Manhattan), Bill saw an opportunity to bring ZOOM ROOM’s proven training model to the Capital district.
As the Managing Director & Owner of the Clifton Park franchise, Bill has embraced the company’s core philosophy: “We don’t train dogs. We train the people who love them.” Under his leadership, ZOOM ROOM CLIFTON PARK has become a welcoming space where dog owners gain the skills to confidently train their pets using positive reinforcement methods, fostering a stronger bond, better behavior, and a happier, well-mannered companion.
Beyond training, Bill is committed to supporting his community. He partners with local shelters and rescues, offering free training to help shelter/rescue dogs increase their chances of adoption and find their forever homes. His approach has made ZOOM ROOM CLIFTON PARK a hub for dog lovers, offering puppy socialization, obedience training, agility, and enrichment programs - all designed to create the ultimate goal: a Tired, Happy Dog.
